Responsibilities

The Director, Marketing, reports directly to the Chief Strategy Officer.  The Director, Marketing, will develop and execute marketing strategies designed to drive opportunities to the Sales team, meet organizational objectives, and keep the EFW brand ahead of the competition in every respect.

  • Develop, execute and actively manage B2B growth marketing strategy to include:
    • Multi-media content creation
    • Social channels
    • Lead Gen
    • ABM
    • Email & digital (including website)
    • Event & channel management and support
  • Oversee marketing department.
  • Develop and execute to annual budget.
  • Responsible for reputation management.
  • Manage outside vendor relationships.
  • Support the executive team with corporate communications.
  • Partner with each business unit/department head to support initiatives and overall growth.
  • Leverage data to drive new opportunities and create additional value for existing customers.
  • Manage and monitor branding guidelines and continually develop and support corporate graphic standards and enforce proper usage by all parties.
  • Drive website design and content management.
  • Conduct and evaluate research, market conditions, and competitor data and implement strategic changes to communication plans as needed.
  • Formulate and define technical scope and objectives of marketing & communications projects.
  • Review marketing project proposals to determine goals, time frame, funding limitations, and procedures for accomplishing projects.
  • Plan promotional communications projects, including but not limited to print, electronic, and special events.
  • Develop our event marketing strategy and plans by closely collaborating with Sales.
  • Own event management from inception to post-event measurement and assessment.
  • Work with third-party marketing and communications vendors on projects as needed, including updates to presentations, brochures, industry sector templates, and more.
  • Regular attendance is required.
  • Comply with company C-TPAT and TSA security procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

The qualifications listed below are representative of the minimum knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.


SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, Word and other MS Office products.
  • Proficient with content creation and design tools (Adobe, WordPress).
  • Proficient with Marketing Automation (Pardot, HubSpot, Marketo, etc).
  • Proficient with Project Management tools (Asana, MS Project, Monday, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of CRM (Salesforce.com preferred).
  • Experience managing social content and use of tools to do so (Brandwatch, etc).
  • Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and writing skills.
  • Highly effective problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a director level role, in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and comply with written information and documents such as safety rules, operations/procedure manuals and maintenance instructions with high comprehension and concentration level to include the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work with executives and communicate abstract concepts.
  • Ability to present to a high level of the organization and groups outside of the organization.
  • Ability to solve problems with complex variables through non-standardized solutions that require independent judgment and analysis.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.

SUPERVISION

Position functions autonomously and directly supervises 1-5 employees.  Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.  Responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and 7 years of experience in a related field. Minimum 5 years of B2B Marketing with 2 years of experience in Transportation/Logistics/Supply Chain, and experience building and managing a team. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.

TRAVEL

Periodic travel up to 5% required.
