Responsibilities

The Jr. Analyst reports directly to the Manager, Pricing and CIS. The Jr. Analyst is responsible for supporting the development, interpretation, and implementation of analytical tools and processes to understand their impact and results.

 

 

 

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Assist with analyzing new/prior client data.
  • Report writing within Sequel and Microsoft Access.
  • Support the development of tools and processes for various needs throughout the company
  • Take part in client set-up and development of rate packages, researching necessary information.
  • Help ensure quality control on TMS through testing and collaborating with users to identify problem areas.
  • Complementary reporting on a regular basis.
  • Regular attendance is required.
  • Comply with company C-TPAT and TSA security procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

 

  • Minimum of an Associate's degree and 1-3 years of experience. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field preferred. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.  
  • Basic understanding of MS Excel, Access, and Word programs.
  • Proven ability to learn and work with new technology.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work.
  • Good math, keying, and written/oral communication skills.
  • Acute attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Must be a self-starter and able to thrive in a very fast-paced environment with little direction.
  • Must be able to interact well with others.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team setting, in a fast paced environment.
  • Maintain stable performance under pressure or opposition; handling stress in a manner that is acceptable to others and the organization.
  • Must be mentally and emotionally capable of handling a high stress environment.
  • Ability to read, interpret and comply with written information and documents such as safety rules, operations/procedure manuals and maintenance instructions with a high comprehension and concentration level to include the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex business and/or technical documents.
  • Ability to write comprehensive reports and detailed business correspondence.
  • Ability to work with groups of people such as other departments and communicate known concepts.
  • Ability to present to a group of departments.
  • Ability to solve problems with a variety of concrete variables through semi-standardized solutions that require some ingenuity and analysis.
  • Ability to draw inferences and follow prescribed and detailed procedures to solve moderately complex problems.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, random drug and/or alcohol tests, and will be subject to a criminal history background check.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
