    Responsibilities

    The Coordinator, Line Haul, is responsible for evaluating the load capacity from EFW stations in order to maximize our line haul capacity and the productivity. They will collaborate with station operations, Station Leaders and Operation Leaders.

     

    Duties include but are not limited to:

    • Setup the line haul carriers for each lane each week.
    • Review the Live tool board for each of the EFW line haul lanes 6 hours prior to departure.
    • Run the L.O.T line optimization tool.
    • Create a manual consolidation manifest.
    • Ensure proper load factor of 3200 cu. Ft is met to maximize profitability.
    • Review the volumes they have set aside for the next scheduled truck. This will help determine if we will need to consider additional run.
    • Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with EFW stations.
    • Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with our line haul providers.
    • Work flexible hours and various shifts.
    • Track the line haul providers and update all stations to ETA and any delays or changes to the schedule.
    • Escalate any issue with a line haul schedule failure to the Director, Line haul Operations.
    • Comply with company C-TPAT and TSA security procedures.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

     

     

    Qualifications

    Minimum of an Associate's degree (or equivalent) in a related field and 1– 3 years of experience in transportation, logistics or other transportation business. Experience working with Dangerous Goods desired. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration. 

     

    Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job specific software applications.

     

    Ability to identify and understand issues, problems and opportunities.

     

    Must be able to proficiently complete documents both electronically and manually.

     

    Work outside of normal business hours in order to meet deadlines where necessary and as directed by management.

     

    Maintain a strong work ethic, including a positive demeanor at all times and work in a cooperative and friendly manner with co-workers and vendors.Present a professional appearance, attitude and image with internal and external clients.

     

    Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.

     

    Demonstrate effective problem solving, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to clearly convey short and long-term defined goals.

     

    Meet all deadlines 100% of the time.

     

    Regular, reliable attendance.

     

    Knowledge of the continental United States geography.

     

    Excellent time management and problem solving skills.

    Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, random drug and/or alcohol tests, and will be subject to a criminal history background check

     

    Must be eligible to work in the United States.
