The Account Manager, Truckload reports directly to the Operations Leader. As an Account Manager, Truckload, you will work as part of a team to manage Truckload business within Estes Forwarding. You will be responsible for managing all operational execution including, but not limited to: customer service, shipment management, and problem resolution. The majority of your time will be spent selling and negotiating to honor day-to-day commitments of the account. You will ensure that standard operating procedures, key performance indicators, and other account metrics exist and are executed on a daily basis.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience. 1-3 years of experience in transportation, logistics or other transportation business or activity with a clear understanding of multiple modes and services within the transportation/logistics industry.
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job specific software applications.
Must have strong work ethics and good problem-solving skills.
Must be able to interact well with others.
Must desire to show leadership and team-building abilities.
Must have good communication and organizational
Must be able to work independently, or in a team setting.
Must be capable of working under tight time constraints in a high volume environment with multiple priorities.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, random drug and/or alcohol tests, and will be subject to a criminal history background check.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
